Our swimming program is founded on 10 stages of skills progression and water safety skills within the pool. Advancement throughout these stages are determined based on our philosophy of ensuring that each student is evaluated and deemed competent in all areas before progressing to the next stage.

  • Starfish Level 1
    • Parent and child enter and exit safely
    • Assisted monkey hold
    • Voluntary arms and legs movements
    • Back float on mat
    • Parents master the conditioning routine
    • Parent and child are comfortable performing submersion up to 3sec
  • Seahorse Level 2
    • Swimmers Enter and Exit the water safely
    • Voluntary Monkey Hold on the Wall
    • Able to Comfortably Submerge up to 10sec
    • Assisted Glide To and From the coach
    • Assisted back float in water
    • Assisted turnaround
    • Assisted Safety Falls of the Wall
  • Stingray Level 3
    • Perform Basic Digging Arms
    • Swimming without Breathing for 3m
    • Pick up objects underwater at 1m depth
    • Back Float with Noodle for 10s
    • Voluntary Safety Falls off the wall
  • Turtle Level 4
    • Streamline Glide with Correct body position for 3m
    • Back and Front Floats for 10sec
    • Flutter kicks on Front and Back with board for 5m
    • Swimming and breathing independently for 5m
    • Independent safety falls off the wall
  • Seal Level 5
    • Perform Streamline Flutter Kicks on Front and Back for 5m
    • Perform Safety Roll-Overs for 5m
    • Perform Freestyle for 5m
    • Perform Breaststroke Arms for 5m
    • Perform Seated Dive off the Wall
  • Dolphin Level 6
    • Perform Freestyle Streamline kicks for 15m
    • Swim Freestyle with Side Breathing for 15m
    • Glide after performing a Breaststroke Kick
    • Perform Butterfly Kicks for 15m
    • Perform Forward Somersaults
    • Perform Kneeling Dives off the Wall
  • Shark Level 7
    • Swim Freestyle with Bilateral Breathing for 25m
    • Swim Backstroke for 25m
    • Swim Breaststroke for 25m
    • Perform Butterfly arms for 15m
    • Kicking in Streamline for 25m in all 4 strokes
    • Perform Open Turns Confidently
    • Perform Crouching Dives off the Wall
  • Barracuda Level 8
    • Swim Freestyle efficiently for 25m
    • Swim Backstroke efficiently for 25m
    • Swim Breaststroke efficiently for 50m
    • Swim Butterfly for 15m
    • Perform Freestyle tumble turn
    • Perform Standing Dives off the Wall
  • Orca Level 9
